Guns N' Roses Hire New Management, Lose Guitarist to Nine Inch Nails

Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy has been in the works for so long that it's hard convincing anyone that it might eventually see the light of the day. But according to the band, the album is really on the way. Really.

"We're in negotiations for the release of Chinese Democracy, and things are going well," GN'R stated in a post on their Web site, also announcing that it had signed with the iconic management team of Irving Azoff, (The Eagles, Jewel, Bush) and Andy Gould (EMI, Sony, BMG, Epic).

While the possible release of Chinese Democracy might be getting some fans' hopes up all over again, guitarist Robin Finck couldn't wait any longer for the record to hit stores and has rejoined his former band Nine Inch Nails for a tour.

A post on NIN's site on April 4 announced Finck's return with a photograph and the words "Welcome Back." A post on Robin Finck's site simply states, "I'm thrilled to announce that I will be playing with NIN."

According to a statement released earlier today on GN'R's Web site, "Robin's plans caught everyone in Guns, as well as our fans, a bit off guard ... Neither we nor management, etc., know any more in this regard, and we prefer not to speculate or offer opinions at this time."

So where in the world does this leave Guns N' Roses? The Web site goes on to say, "When we begin to put tour plans together, we'll see where things are. Until then, Robin's touring with NIN, and we're working with management on our game plan."

Am I the only one that sees what should happen here? Velvet Revolver are currently looking for a singer ... c'mon, Axl, make us all happy!
