Jay-Z to Join Forces With Live Nation

Jay-Z is reportedly about to sign a $150 million deal with concert promoters Live Nation. The deal not only includes concerts, endorsements and recordings over the next decade, but will also help the rapper to launch Roc Nation, Jay's own record label, talent management, and music publishing company.

An anonymous source told The Associated Press that under the proposed deal, Jay-Z would be paid about $25 million up front, another $25 million toward concert tours and advances of $10 million for each of at least three albums, the person said.

"I've turned into the Rolling Stones of hip-hop," Jay-Z told The New York Times.

Jay-Z, who previously served as Def Jam's CEO for three years, still owes his former label one more album, which is expected to be released later this year. He is the third mega-star to recently join forces with the Los Angeles concert promoters. Madonna signed a history making deal last year rumored to be worth about $120 million, and earlier this week, U2 announced a 12-year deal.

Live Nation is currently producing a tour with Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige.

I got confused for a second, wondering which drunken escapade got me signed with Live Nation. Then I realised, Jay Z, not Jay V.

I LOVE JAY-Z. I was so sad when he resigned from being a performer and did his Encore tour.

Swagger Jacking has become a huge problem among society. Most commonly when a well known artist discovers an unknown artist and decides that they are going to take their music/ideas and produce them as their own.
